La Résidence de la Pinède is delighted to unveil a new design concept in collaboration with architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte. The Saint-Tropez hotel, which joined LVMH Hotel Management in 2016, will reopen for the season on 17th May 2018 with Jean-Michel Wilmotte’s new concept. The evolution includes transformed rooms and hotel interiors, enhancing the charm of the seaside estate.
The renowned architect is a long-term partner of the LVMH group and his concept for the property is inspired by its sea front location. Working with the hotels original aesthetic, he has created a warm, welcoming, and contemporary finish with sandy tones, soft woods, and beautiful art pieces by art-ceramist Roger Captron.
Jean Michel Wilmotte describes the property as “an exceptional place, bathed by the Mediterranean, expresses its magic, which resonates with our time” and comments “we have enhanced the existing décor with a contemporary approach, emphasising a relationship with nature, noble materials and of course, Roger Capron’s work. A composition of great purity, warmth and refinement, that fully embodies the concept of La Résidence de la Pinède.”
The new concept cleverly uses the natural sunlight to illuminate the space and delicate wooden lace to provide ultimate privacy for guests. In the bedrooms and bathrooms, Jean-Michel has made sophisticated use of Mediterranean materials; with soft wood furniture, and warm colours with hints of blue, echoing the surrounding landscape.
This project is the first step towards the overall evolution of the entire property. The new design has been delivered in collaboration with architect François Vieillecroze whose Mediterranean culture, combined with the sensibility of Jean-Michel Wilmotte, ensures La Résidence de la Pinède remains a significant historical property in Saint-Tropez.
