The recent launch of the new Morgan Aero 8 watch by Struthers, London and retailed at London Morgan cars is a true celebration of British craftsmanship.
Using a combination of the years they have spent as vintage and antique watch repairers, and their experience with fine jewellery design, it is no surprise that the next step for Struthers would be to produce their own luxury timepiece.
Being experts in bespoke creations inevitably led them to another big name in British heritage and design, the Morgan Motor Company, famed for its unique and timeless car creations.
Speaking about this new collaboration, Co-Founder of Struthers London, Craig Struthers said,“This has been a fantastic experience working alongside one of our greatest inspirations in British manufacture. For us, Morgan sports cars represent the epitome of British cool and fly the flag for small UK independent design makers.”
Together they have collaborated to produce the limited series of 8 luxury watches, which are available in 18ct white gold and retailed at £22, 500.
The stunning design of the Morgan Aero 8 watch uses the streamline design of the Aero 8 car as its inspiration, and has been tailored to mirror the curves and lines of the vehicle thereby enabling a greater synergy between watch and car.
Just like Morgan’s cars, each watch is handcrafted to order using a combination of state-of-the-art technology and centuries old techniques.
Similar to the existing Officer’s and Field Trench for Morgan models, the new Aero 8 watch re-commissions a vintage Omega base calibre, with customisations now including wandering seconds and a greater choice for customised hand-finishing.
