I’d wake up in…

Florence, which is my favourite city in Italy for so many reasons…

And stay at…

Hotel Bello Sguardo, a hotel I love for the close walking distance into the historic Centre of Florence.

Breakfast would be…

My classicgreen tea and muesli with yogurt.

I would wear…

Jeans, an Armani shirt, a comfy pair of shoes good for walkingand my large panama hat.

And take these travel essentials…

My books on Krishnamurti, Bert Hellinger and my Nikon camerato capture any prize moments.

I’d listen to…

David Gilmore and Santana.

And visit…

The market of Sant’Ambrogio, perfect for food lovers a paradise where all life is played out.. a great people watching spot!

Have lunch at…

Da Rocco is a small trattoria in the market of Sant’ambrogio, with benches, a great atmosphere, great Florentine dishes with lots of noise and plenty of Florentines.

Buy…

Buy a pair of hand made shoes by Roberto Ugolini in Via Michelozzi.

Hang out with…

With the Florentines talking about La Fiorentina and politics In Piazza Signoriaat one of the many bars.

Relax at…

Villa Cora is set just above the city center and has a great bar with lots of comfortable shaded seating next to its stunning swimming pool.

Drink…

I don’t drink alcohol, so it has to be a Crodino, or a hand mixed non alcoholic aperitif for me.

Chat with…

Astranger about Florence, about how Florence has become too busy, but still has that magical touch to it and of course where to have dinner.

And wind down the evening having dinner at…

Trattoria la vecchia bettola In Porta Romana which hands down is one of the best places to eat florentine classics, especially there homemade pasta sauce.
