Jamaica Inn is hosting an ultra-relaxing yoga retreat this September for the ultimate rejuvenating getaway. The hotel has partnered with international yoga instructor, Erin Ward and together they have created an all-encompassing yoga retreat designed to offer discerning travellers the opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and tune into their bodies both physically and emotionally.

Born and raised on the east coast of America, Erin is a 750hr Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) specialising in meditation, breathwork and spiritual fitness. As well as teaching group and private signature yoga classes in Los Angeles, Erin is also trained as a spiritual psychology counsellor leading both domestic and international wellness retreats across the globe.

Hidden away on a secluded sandy cove just east of Ocho Rios, Jamaica Inn is a timeless property which retains an air of colonial charm. Spread over eight-acres and boasting a 700-foot private white sand beach, considered to be one of the best in the Caribbean, the hotel has long been associated with the jet set, attracting a number of famed guests over the years – including Marilyn Monroe, Winston Churchill and Kathryn Hepburn.

At this idyllic property, Erin’s classes will not only challenge guests physically but also focus on changing guests’ mental attitudes, expelling anxieties and, in turn, creating a positive, lasting effect on their approach to wellbeing in the future. Erin’s compassionate approach seeks to position yoga as more than merely a way to stretch and strengthen the body but a way to create a connection between mind, movement and breath.

The fittingly paradisiacal Jamaican setting will offer the perfect backdrop for guests to start as they mean to go on ahead of the upcoming winter season: putting health, wellbeing and a renewed positive attitude on the agenda. With an informed yet compassionate approach, Erin will be on hand to ensure guests achieve their goals and leave the retreat with renewed confidence and positivity.

There’s far more on offer than just stretching however – guests will also experience locally-inspired spa treatments in a tranquil outdoor setting at the hotel’s award-winning Ocean Spa.  Try out the brand new saltwater sea bath which promotes healing from the inside out, improves circulation and reduces inflammation of joints and muscles – perfect for those wanting to relax post session whilst enjoying sweeping views of the Caribbean Sea.
