Meliá Hotels International has introduced its lifestyle-led INNSiDE by Meliá brand to Malta with the opening of INNSiDE by Meliá Bugibba on 12 July 2026.
Set directly on Bugibba Square and only a few steps from the seafront, the new hotel combines contemporary accommodation with destination dining, wellness facilities and sociable spaces designed for both visitors and the local community. Its location in St Paul’s Bay also places guests within easy reach of Valletta and Malta International Airport, while providing a convenient starting point for exploring the island’s historic towns, coastline and outdoor attractions.
The hotel has 86 rooms and suites spread across eight categories, ranging from rooms with sea views and private balconies to larger, townhouse-style accommodation. The mix has been designed to suit everything from short Mediterranean escapes to longer stays on the island.
Food and drink play a central role in the hotel, with three separate concepts found throughout the property. O’Luna Restaurant serves breakfast each morning before becoming a relaxed evening dining space, where Mediterranean-inspired dishes are accompanied by soft live music.
At the top of the hotel, O’Sole Rooftop brings together a heated infinity pool and panoramic views over the sea. The space is intended to move easily from leisurely mornings beside the water to evenings centred around cocktails and the surrounding Mediterranean scenery. At street level, We Proudly Deliver, or WPD, is an artisanal gelato shop opening directly onto Bugibba’s busy piazza.
Wellness facilities are integrated into the wider stay rather than confined to a single area. The two-floor InFit Gym provides space for strength training, functional exercise, stretching and mobility work, while the heated rooftop swimming pool remains open throughout the year.
INNSiDE by Meliá Bugibba is also fully pet-friendly. Dedicated amenities include welcome gifts on arrival, natural dog food available through room service and a local guide highlighting nearby pet-friendly attractions and services.
Sustainability forms another part of the hotel’s approach, with environmentally conscious initiatives incorporated throughout the property in keeping with the wider INNSiDE by Meliá brand philosophy.
With its central setting, flexible accommodation and rooftop spaces, the opening adds a new lifestyle-led hotel to one of Malta’s liveliest coastal destinations.
