Planning your next exotic getaway? Legendary Maldivian luxury resort Huvafen Fushi is poised to emerge from its dramatic year-long transformation this September – and it’s a feast for every sense.
Renovated, refreshed, verve revived and vivacity renewed, guests can sit back, relax and enjoy the show when it comes to iconic luxury stays.

Opened over a decade ago, Huvafen Fushi built a deserved reputation amongst dynamic connoisseurs, seduced by the sensuous embrace of this iconic island. The perennial poise and allure of this fashionable global icon has been lovingly rekindled; reinvigorated for a new generation of sophisticates drawn irresistibly by the promise of a glamorously grown-up rendezvous.

Suave Slumber
Huvafen’s 44 enrapturing, naturally modern villas – each with private pool – have been elevated, with elegantly refreshed interiors and new furnishings in the living areas, while newly renovated bathrooms are complemented by exquisite Bottega Veneta amenities. Meanwhile playtime beckons at the sensational new, £17k-a-night PlayPen – the ultimate Maldives experience for discerning guests.

No toddler den, The PlayPen, The Grand Beach Pavilion weaves fluid New York loft-style living with a nostalgic neo-Parisian penchant for vintage pieces and an eclectic collection of handpicked furniture.

Huvafen Spa
The resort’s legendary spa has been transformed and resculpted as Huvafen Spa. Above the lagoon, a new air-conditioned reception pavilion ushers guests to renewed overwater treatment rooms; the new Vitalisation relaxation area featuring his ‘n hers wet areas, steam and sauna rooms; and the new RAW café specializing in  ‘Revitalising Additive Wellness’ cuisine.

At the heart of Huvafen Spa, the famed world-first underwater treatment area is reborn as PEARL, a unique otherworldly treasure for wellness connoisseurs seeking a deeper experience. Guests can immerse themselves in a curated collection of rituals and treatments, as abundant tropical fish and marine life dance over the coral outside.

Huvafen Spa has also created a brand new Maldivian signature treatment based on a secret traditional local healing recipe. Meaning wellbeing and sensuality, Dhimaalis is a 90 minute treatment that begins with a gentle body scrub using sand from Huvafen’s own shores and Maldivian Dhivi beys herbs grown on the island. The scrub is cleaned through immersion in the salt water of the lagoon, leaving the skin purified and spirits reawakened (US$225++ per person).

Dine & Imbibe
Re-infused with the island’s signature sensuality, Huvafen Fushi’s much-loved culinary experiences – from poolside UMBar to subterranean wine trove Vinum – have been augmented by the addition of Feeling Koi, serving modern izakaya-style Japanese cuisine with an alluring Latin twist. First conceived by Mark Hehir at Amilla Fushi, Feeling Koi is home to the world’s first two certified Maldivian Sake sommeliers, on hand to guide guests through a sensory journey discovering the archipelago’s largest collection of fine Sakes.

Diversions
Explorers drawn by the enveloping blue expanses of sea and sky can now heed the call of the ocean at FLOAT. Under sail on a traditional hand-crafted Maldivian dhonior yacht. Carving through the waves aboard Veloce, a dashing 45′ Italian cocktail of air-conditioned elegance and speed.

Huvafen Fushi is open to over 16s only. Accommodation starts from US$1100++ per room per night, based on two adults sharing a Beach Bungalow with Pool including breakfast. For further information and reservations visitwww.huvafenfushi.com, email stay@huvafenfushi.com or call tel: +960 66 44 222.
