Following an extensive $60 million renovation, The St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort in Puerto Rico has announced it will reopen in October following the devastating effects of Hurricane Maria.
The property will also launch two new projects; The Ocean Drive Beachfront Residences and the Atlantic Drive Estates, with further plans for expansion. The 139 refurbished rooms and suites will offer guests a light, modern and organic aesthetic in a modern setting.
The $60 million renovation will see a new look for the Plantation House, which includes The St. Regis Bar, and to the property’s signature restaurant, seaside pool and esplanade, the spa and ocean-front golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr.
Inspired by the property’s surrounding sea, sand and foliage, the new design aims to connect guests to their environment. The new modern and light design is also seen in the Plantation House, a two-story building that greets guest upon arrival, offers views of the two-mile stretch of private beach.
Additionally, the launch includes the unveiling of an $85 million residential development, The Ocean Drive Residences. Set for completion in 2019, this exciting new complex features 30 luxurious condominium residences in three beachfront buildings. These will offer three- and four-bedroom residences and penthouse models with a lavish feel.
