Hotel de Russie in Rome, has opened the doors to its newest signature suite, the Valadier Suite. Part of a significant hotel renovation project, Hotel de Russie is creating an exciting new look to enhance the guest experience and offer an unforgettable stay in Rome.
Designed by Olga Polizzi, Director of Design for Rocco Forte Hotels, and her talented team, the newly-launched suite is beautifully appointed and decorated in a contemporary yet classic style. Of the project, Olga Polizzi says: “For me, the Valadier Suite says Rome. I tried to continue the Roman feel of the hotel by furnishing the suite with Italian antiques, Roman statues, vibrant colours and furnishings from C&C Milano, who is quintessentially Italian.”
About the suite
Named after the famous Italian architect, Giuseppe Valadier, the eclectic 19th-century urban designer was responsible for the planning the inner courtyard of the hotel, Piazza del Popolo and surrounding areas of Rome. Measuring 77sqm with floor-to-ceiling windows throughout and three French balconies overlooking the hotel’s secret garden and Pincio hill, guests will be treated to breath taking views of the city.
A yellow and green colour palette adorn the suite allowing the feel of bright and spacious living areas. Furnished throughout with pieces from well-known designers such as a sofa by Meridiani, embellished with cushions by Sophia’s collection, a coffee table by Julian Chichester Garcon mixed with low reliefs reflecting Roman sculptural elements and an ancient Roman statue reflects the history of the city.
Separated from the living area by two sliding doors, the bedroom is elegantly furnished with a king-sized bed, walk-in wardrobe and a vanity desk that leads into an exquisite white Italian Arabescata marble bathroom fitted with a double shower, separate bathtub and double basin sinks.
