FOODPHOTO FESTIVAL #03

The Foodphoto Festival is one of the biggest international events that showcases and celebrates work from food photography professionals from all over the globe.This year’s show aims to be the best so far with an incredible line up of work from top photographers, inspiring talks and discussions, innovative workshops, and of course the chance to network with leading industry figures.

Günter Beer, festival director and gourmet photographer of the internationally successful Culinaria book series, said that, “We have carefully chosen the location for this Festival. Denmark has always been a reference in terms of style and design and during the last decade has become a trailblazer in the world of haute cuisine. Denmark has experienced an explosion of successes with its celebrated chefs, acclaimed restaurants and culinary innovations. The most inspiring place to be as a food photographer or food stylist is definitely Denmark!”

With this in mind, this year’s third bi-annual show will take place from 22nd-25th October, with a penultimate-night ceremony on the 24th in the Music Theater Vejle. The awards show will comprise of an exciting screening, presentation, as well as the unveiling of the 2015 Foodphoto Awards.

Following the success of the previous festivals, it is expected that even more professional photographers and food stylists will be in attendance, as well as agents, editors, publishers, advertising agencies, art directors and professionals from the vast gastronomic sector.

The Foodphoto Festival is not only a chance to enjoy the art of food photography but the event also acts as a platform for professionals from all over the world to come together and share experiences, discuss the latest trends, and meet potential partners for new projects.

The celebration of food photography is not just exclusive to the three-day festival. In fact various locations throughout Vejle will continue to pay homage to the subject by holding free of charge photography exhibitions that will be open to the public for two weeks after the festival.
