CLARIDGE’S ROYAL SUITE
When rumour had it that Robert Downey Jr refused to stay in a luxury apartment in central London while filming Sherlock Holmes a few yearsback because the property could not accommodate his request for a grand piano, perhaps he should have called Claridge’s?
Slip on your silk robe and sit back with your complimentary chilled bottle of rosé champagne that lies waiting, for this suite has a real palatialpresence fit for a Prince. Recently refurbished, this two-bed suite features magnifi cent double doors, which lead to the dining room.

Café Royal’s Historic Suites
Originally opened in 1863, this historic landmark hotel in Regent Street was reborn in 2012. And boy, is it a showstopper! The six historic suites each contain a mix of original features, including the maple fireplace in the Marquis Suite, the red and gold gildings -anod to Café Royal’s French heritage -in the Club Suite and the original pier mirrors supported by ornate gilded griffins in the Empire Suite, which, at212 sqm, is the largest of the hotel’s suites.

London EDITION’s Penthouse
A fine example of restored Georgian architecture meets all-out glamour. When the London EDITION opened in September 2013, it was the toast ofthe capital’s fashion pack, not to mention the location of one of our favourite new restaurant’s, Berners Tavern. This hotel is sexy, cool and very NewYork -but would you expect anything less from the lovechild of hotelier Ian Schrager and chef-restaurateur Jason Atherton? Its 195 sqm penthousehas a playful ‘70s vibe, with a separate living and dining area, walk-in wardrobe, pantry and three outdoor terraces. The space feels fresh andenergised with a warm palette of wheat, cream, soft olive green and muted pink -perfectly complimenting the walnut walls.
