Calling all sun seekers! The Peninsula Paris is eliminating your need to cross the Atlantic this summer for a taste of the California life thanks to an array of exciting Cali sunshine offers. Enjoy a nod to wellness, a menu overhaul, sunny decor updates and nightlife offerings that rival that of the City of Angels – plus plenty more.
Inspired by its sister hotel in Beverly Hills, The Peninsula Paris’ La Terrasse Kléber will be transformed into a hotspot this summer that echos West Coast locales. La Terrasse Kléber is emulating the West Coast vibe with updated decor including tropical plants, surfboards and decorative, acid-coloured features, all with the aim of recreating a California party atmosphere.
Golden State chefs are known to be pioneers when it comes to gastronomic developments in healthy eating with their use of local, organic ingredients. David Codney, Executive Chef at The Peninsula Beverly Hills has collaborated with Christophe Raoux, Executive Chef at The Peninsula Paris (and winner of the Meilleur Ouvrier de France award for leading chefs) to offer guests a taste of California’s latest food trends.
The menus at Le Lobby and La Terrasse Kléber are offering guests an array of tasty yet sin-free treats. New breakfast offerings for guests will include an Açaí bowl, a Crumpet with avocado and egg or a Cholesterol-free omelette. The dishes are designed to treat guests’ tastebuds while teasing eyes through their perfect presentation. Accompanying this early-morning power food, a choice of cold-pressed juices with detox properties, such as a green smoothie made from green fruit and vegetables will also be made available.
At sunset, the menu will also offer healthy bites: Nettle velouté with fresh almond and nut oil; Obsiblue prawn with kale, coral lentils and pomegranate vinaigrette, to name two. These healthy, seasonal dishes can be paired with a selection of biodynamic Californian wines. To end the meal on a sweet note, desserts offerings will include Raspberry red velvet cake with balsamic vinegar, and a Fresh fruit nage with birch juice.
Post-dinner, the fun continues in the magnificent wood-panelled surroundings of Le Bar Kléber or its outside terrace, sipping brightly coloured cocktails such as the Marlon, an amazingly fresh and spicy tequila-based creation with lime and red pepper notes.
Throughout the summer, guests will also be able to enjoy a playlist of California-inspired lounge and electro-lounge sounds. From 6:00pm on Tuesdays to Saturdays, there will also be live music hosted by the hotel’s resident DJs.
Plus, guests can also enjoy holistic beauty treatments, including the natural-product-based 24K Gold Age-Defying facial, which promises a Hollywood glow. Sip on detoxifying fresh fruit juices and a selection of healthy snacks to complete the offering.
For the city explorers, LA-style electric BMW bikes will allow guests to explore the streets of the capital in true relaxed chic style.
