Nestled in the heart of the Venetian Lagoon, San Clemente Palace Island by Kempinski is your private, luxurious retreat in Venice, just minutes away from St. Mark’s Square by boat.
A Venician marvel

Crossing the historic waters of Venice is already an exceptional experience that gets you in the mood for an outstanding stay. As one approaches the island, the eye is caught by the impressive 12th-century church, a heritage from the monastic settlements that the island has housed for centuries. Surrounded by lush gardens and inner courtyards is San Clemente Palace Kempinski, a five-star luxury hotel located in a grand, historical building.

The only hotel on the private island, San Clemente Palace Kempinski is the ideal escape after a day spent in vivid Venice. The outstanding service of Kempinski accompanies guests throughout their stay, contributing to creating exclusive, remarkable memories of their holidays in Venice.

The hotel’s 190 rooms and suites offer stunning views of Venice’s skyline and the lagoon, as well as the island’s centuries-old park and the historic inner courtyards. Their soft, sumptuous interiors blend with classic Venetian-style furniture, traditional terrazzo floors, Murano-glass chandeliers and lights, fine wallpapers and Italian marble bathrooms.

Among the most luxurious suites there are Tintoretto Suite and Tiepolo Suite – both located in the main building and named after famous Venetian painters. Marco Polo Suite celebrates the famous Venetian merchant and traveller and is set in an independent wing, called “Navigante” (sailor) as homage to the Republic of Venice’s long-lasting maritime tradition. Marco Polo Suite and all the Navigante Junior Suites directly overlook the sea and Venice. San Clemente Suite is the most exclusive suite, the true centrepiece of the hotel. Set in the monastery’s former laundry, the suite offers an incomparable view of the lagoon from its panoramic windows and every luxury for the perfect stay: the dark wooden ceiling beams and the elegant furnishings make for a comfortable atmosphere. The spacious living and sleeping rooms are complete with state-of-the-art equipment, offering the perfect space for a retreat. The brand-new suite’s interiors take inspiration from Venetian merchants’ journeys towards Eastern countries. From the oriental motif to the sun-shaped mirrors, which remind one of the sunrise, and the headboard with a gondola’s bow detail: everything in the suite celebrates the strong sea’s influence on Venice’s history.

All senses are tantalised at the three different culinary venues on the island. At the gourmet restaurant Acquerello, the sights are as impressive as the cuisine: located at the churchyard, the restaurant with its grand terrace is set right beside one of the island’s private piers, offering a beautiful view over the lagoon and of the famous St. Mark’s Square. The haute cuisine in Acquerello Restaurant combines Italian specialities and traditional Venetian dishes, with an oriental touch that mirrors Executive Chef Vincenzo Di Tuoro’s experiences in India and the United Arab Emirates.

The menu of La Dolce restaurant pays homage to the Italian icons, such as pasta and pizza, which you can taste in a relaxed atmosphere surrounded by the park. At the Insieme restaurant, the scents of home-made delicacies welcome guests for breakfast, along with excellent coffee and an exclusive selection of teas.

One of the most wonderful cities in the world is just on the doorstep, but San Clemente Island provides many good reasons to stay: from the swimming pool surrounded by the magnificent park to the tennis court, pitch and putt golf course, jogging trail as well as an indoor gym and spa treatment rooms.

The more you enjoy your stay on San Clemente Island, the more you wish your holiday in this amazing destination wouldneverend.
