Perched high above Lake Garda, where the air is cool, clear and scented with cypress, Cape of Senses has long been a destination for those seeking stillness, beauty and space to breathe. This November, the five-star adults-only hideaway will take its philosophy of slow living one step further with the launch of its first-ever yoga retreat — the Rest & Reset Retreat, running from 7th to 10th November 2025.
Conceived as a restorative seasonal reset, the retreat offers guests a chance to pause before winter’s arrival — to release the pace of the year and gently realign body and mind. Set against the spectacular natural backdrop of Torri del Benaco, 240 metres above the shimmering lake, it’s an invitation to reconnect with nature, self, and stillness.
A Return to the Elements
Throughout the retreat, guests are guided to move through yoga’s five elemental forces — earth, water, fire, air and space — as symbolic touchpoints for balance and renewal. Each day unfolds with Kundalini and Hatha yoga, breathwork, meditation and sound healing, designed to restore equilibrium and heighten presence. Between sessions, guests are encouraged to immerse themselves in the rhythm of the landscape — the play of light on the lake, the rustle of olive trees, the quiet pull of nature that underpins Cape of Senses’ design and philosophy.
The retreat is led by Sandra Dal Santo, a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher whose personal transformation from corporate banking to holistic wellness informs her deeply intuitive approach. After over 15 years in finance, Sandra left her career to retrain as a nature guide and yoga teacher, now leading experiences across Italy that combine movement, mantra and meditation in open-air settings. Her practice at Cape of Senses will guide guests to explore inner stillness through breath and movement — a gentle, powerful way to release tension and reconnect before the new season.
“With the changing seasons, the body and mind naturally crave stillness and reflection,” says Alina Deutsch, General Manager of Cape of Senses. “The Rest & Reset Retreat offers guests a sacred pause — a time to nourish, rebalance and set positive intentions before winter. It’s a gentle yet transformative journey, and we are delighted to welcome Sandra to lead it.”
A Place Designed for Presence
Carved seamlessly into the hillside by architects Hugo and Alessia Demetz, Cape of Senses is a modern architectural sanctuary that feels part of the landscape itself. Each of the 55 suites features floor-to-ceiling windows and a minimalist, nature-infused aesthetic — soft tones, handcrafted furnishings, and views that draw the outside in. The 2,000sqm Senses Spa continues this dialogue between design and nature, with its indoor-outdoor infinity pool, saunas, steam rooms, and tranquil spa garden with a dedicated yoga platform.
During the retreat, guests can unwind in these serene surroundings, enjoy a nourishing menu of seasonal dishes, and experience one of the hotel’s signature anti-stress massages. Meals are served overlooking the lake — whether in the relaxed Osteria La Pergola or the elegant Al Tramonto, aptly named “at sunset” for its extraordinary evening views.
The property, awarded a Michelin Key in 2024, is known for its holistic approach to wellbeing: where architecture, gastronomy, and nature flow together to create balance and beauty in every detail.
The Rest & Reset Experience
The Rest & Reset Retreat includes three nights’ accommodation in a suite of choice, daily yoga and meditation sessions, sound healing, breathwork, seasonal full-board dining, and a revitalising anti-stress massage. Solo travellers receive an additional 30% off their room rate, making it an ideal escape for those seeking reflection and renewal in peaceful solitude.
As the light softens over Lake Garda and the scent of autumn settles in the hills, the retreat offers more than just yoga; it’s an invitation to stop — to reconnect with the rhythm of nature and rediscover the quiet power of presence.
