A young, talented chef who worked for several years alongside Andreas Caminada in the kitchen of Schauenstein Schloss Restaurant Hotel and who was therefore able to acquire the DNA of the top chef from Graubünden. He was involved right from the start in the implementation of the new food concept and brings the philosophy of “IGNIV” to the plate with a great deal of joy and skill.

In October 2016, ten months after opening, the restaurant has been awarded a Michelin Star and 16 GaultMillau points. Silvio German has been named “Discovery of the Year in German-speaking Switzerland” by GaultMillau in 2016.

What is your greatest inspiration?

Inspirational things for me are new culture and different cooking style.

If you could take a plane ride to any restaurant in the world, just for one meal, where would you go?

I would really love to go to Asador Etxebarri in San Sebastian, Spain.

What three things would you take to a desert island?

A good friend, a Swiss army knife and a fishing rod!
