The Rogan empire spreads to Manchester

Simon Rogan has joined QHotels to run two restaurants in their Midland Hotel in Manchester

Simon Rogan will be adding to his growing collection of establishments with the recent news that he will be managing two restaurants in Manchester. He will be in charge of two restaurants at the Midland Hotel, one being The French, the other is the unnamed, larger bar and dining room in the hotel. The French is steeped in history and was the first Michelin star restaurant in the UK when it received the award back in 1974. It does not still own the star but currently holds 2 AA rosettes. The recent Hong Kong and Macau Michelin guide has graded the regions restaurants with an abundance of stars. 19 new restaurants have been awarded with Michelin star status, which has provided the regions with a formidable growing reputation. Six new restaurants were awarded with two Michelin stars,the Ah Yat Harbour View, Ryu Gin, Summer Palace, Sushi Yoshitake and Tin Lung Heen in Hong Kong and the Golden Flower in Macau.
