La Tour d’Argent sell 200-year-old liquor

A number of classic liquors have been sold by the French restaurant at auction in London

Dutch collector Bay van der Bunt added to his world’s largest collection of old liquors at Christies auction in London yesterday. He purchased the entire lot of 6 bottles ofVieux Cognac Grande Champagne Fine ‘Clos de Griffier’ Café Anglais 1788. Parisian restaurantLa Tour d’Argentwere selling a portion of their cellar, some of which has been stored there for over 200 years. Simon Rogan has joined QHotels to run two restaurants in their Midland Hotel in Manchester

Simon Rogan will be adding to his growing collection of establishments with the recent news that he will be managing two restaurants in Manchester. He will be in charge of two restaurants at the Midland Hotel, one being The French, the other is the unnamed, larger bar and dining room in the hotel.
