Belmond Announces Hotel Re-openings

The LVMH-owned luxury hotel group has announced plans to restart its global operations. First to open will be the lavish Belmond properties in Italy, which are set to begin accepting guests from later this month. 

All 46 of the Belmond branded hotels, trains, river cruises and safari lodges have new protocols in place to protect the health and safety of guests. To keep international guests' love for globetrotting alive until travel is once again possible, Belmond has also launched a new augmented reality filter, aptly named Travel Dreams, on Instagram. This filter virtually transports users to Belmond properties around the globe at random, sparking inspiration for future travel plans. The Mark Hotel, New York Auctions Stay in Penthouse Suite for Charity

The luxe Upper East Side hotel is auctioning off a two-night stay in their sumptuous penthouse suite in aide of food charities, with the starting bid set at $150,000.

The suite, which was picked by Serena Williams and Amal Clooney for Meghan Markle’s illustrious baby shower, is one of the largest in the city. Standing at over 10,000 square feet, the 5-bedroom, six-bathroom suite typically costs $75,000 per night. Designed by celebrated French interiors master, Jacques Grange, the penthouse features custom furniture and includes a range of bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as a library lounge, powder room, formal dining room, conservatory, two wet bars and a handful of fireplaces.
