Anantara Spa has opened at Tivoli LA VIE Hotel & Residences in Muscat, marking the wellness brand’s first location in Oman’s capital. Set beside the fairways of LA VIE Country Club Golf Course in Madinat Al Irfan, the new spa brings Anantara’s Thai-rooted approach to wellbeing to the Tivoli property.
Located around ten minutes from Muscat International Airport and close to the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre, Tivoli LA VIE combines hotel accommodation with access to LA VIE Galleria and its wider leisure setting. The spa adds a dedicated wellness element, with treatments shaped by Anantara’s philosophy of Nam Jai, or “water from the heart”, a concept centred on care and generosity. Its approach draws on Eastern wellness traditions, Western techniques and influences from the Arabian setting.
The facilities include six single treatment rooms as well as a couples’ suite with a private Jacuzzi. Separate areas for men and women each have a steam room, sauna, Jacuzzi, plunge pool, experience shower and ice fountain. There is also a dedicated hammam with its own relaxation lounges, drawing on the centuries-old Ottoman bathing tradition.
The treatment menu spans massage, skincare and hydrotherapy. Options include Swedish massage, treatments designed for expectant mothers and therapies aimed at helping guests recover from jet lag. The spa has also partnered with body-care brand Of the Islands on magnesium-based treatments, including Magnesium Coffee Scrub and Lavender Magnesium Scrub, while ELEMIS products feature across its facial treatments. Hydrotherapy baths use salts and botanicals and can also be arranged in guest rooms.
Several longer rituals bring these elements together. The Anantara Renewal Essence Ritual begins with a magnesium and lavender body scrub before moving into the resort’s signature Anantara Massage. The Recovery and Glow Ritual combines a full-body relaxation massage using aromatic oils with an express facial designed to hydrate and refresh the skin.
The Deep Purification Ritual takes a different approach, pairing a Ghassoul clay wrap infused with frankincense oil with a Himalayan Salt Stone Massage. For couples, the Sweet Royal ritual starts with a milk bath and follows with an Anantara Signature Massage using rose-infused oil.
The opening has also introduced a Couples’ Serene Retreat package at Tivoli LA VIE. The stay includes accommodation in a room or suite overlooking the fairways and a 60-minute Himalayan Serenity Spa Ritual for two. Guests can choose between a coffee or magnesium lavender body scrub, followed by a Himalayan hot stone massage. Rates start from US$325.
Anantara Spa at Tivoli LA VIE Hotel & Residences is open daily from 10am to 10pm. The launch adds another dimension to the Muscat property, giving both hotel guests and local visitors a new place to step away from the city and spend a few hours focused on rest and recovery.
