Nobu Hospitality has announced that Nobu Hotel Madrid will officially open on 1 September 2026, bringing the brand’s celebrated mix of dining, design and hospitality to the Spanish capital for the first time. Reservations are now open for the new hotel, which will become Nobu’s fifth property in Spain, joining San Sebastián, Barcelona, Marbella and Ibiza.
The opening comes at a significant moment for Madrid, as the city continues to grow in stature as one of Europe’s leading destinations for culture, fashion, gastronomy and luxury travel. With international attention building around the arrival of Formula 1 and the city’s increasingly dynamic cultural scene, Nobu Hotel Madrid is set to add a new layer to the capital’s hospitality landscape.
At the heart of the hotel will be a tri-level Nobu restaurant, bar and lounge, marking the debut of Nobu’s acclaimed dining experience in Madrid. Designed as a lively social destination for both hotel guests and locals, the space will also feature a rooftop terrace with views across the Madrid skyline. The restaurant interiors have been led by globally renowned architecture and design studio GRONDA, with subtle Japanese influences, considered materials and a focus on harmony and light. The same design philosophy will extend into shared areas of the hotel, including the lobby.
The hotel’s 50 guest rooms and suites, along with public spaces such as the wellness area, have been designed by Studio Caramba to offer a calm urban refuge in the city centre. Interiors will combine warm wood tones, organic textiles, deep green accents and softly layered lighting, while floor-to-ceiling windows will frame sweeping views over Madrid. The Nobu Suite, located on the top floor, will be the hotel’s signature accommodation, offering 105 square metres of elevated living space and a private terrace.
“The opening of Nobu Hotel Madrid marks a significant milestone for Nobu globally, and especially in Spain, joining our portfolio of properties in San Sebastián, Barcelona, Marbella and Ibiza,” says Natasha Hargan, General Manager. “Located in the heart of Madrid, the hotel will serve as an urban sanctuary, where distinctive design, world-class Nobu cuisine, exceptional service, and a deep connection to the city’s culture come together to create a vibrant destination for both guests and the local community.”
The guest experience will include exclusive Nobu in-room dining and priority access to the Nobu restaurant. Rooms will feature Nobu Signature Beds and BYREDO bathroom amenities, while secure parking will be available on request. A dedicated wellness area and state-of-the-art Technogym fitness centre will offer space to unwind and reset during a stay in the city.
Located on Calle Alcalá, Nobu Hotel Madrid will sit between Plaza de Cibeles and Puerta del Sol, placing guests within easy reach of some of the capital’s most recognisable landmarks. The surrounding Las Cortes neighbourhood is one of Madrid’s most atmospheric districts, known for its literary history, characterful streets and lively cultural scene.
To celebrate the opening, Nobu Hotel Madrid is offering €100 dining and beverage credit on bookings made before 30 September 2026, for stays through 31 December 2026. Reservations are now available for stays beginning 1 September 2026.
