There’s a reason Conde Nast included Denver on their 2025 list of 25 must-visit destinations in North America. While the Mile High City has long been celebrated as a gateway to the great American outdoors, it’s now making an equally compelling case for staying inside, thanks to a flourishing restaurant scene, trendy hotel openings, and a burgeoning art scene. The irony won’t be lost on readers.
Culinary explorers, take note: Michelin has clearly fallen under the city’s spell. As of September 2025, Denver boasts six restaurants with the coveted Michelin star—a remarkable feat considering the guide only arrived in 2023.
One of Denver’s neighbourhoods, RiNo (River North Art District), has been dubbed by Vogue as the “next Williamsburg”. This trendy pocket of the city is home to farm-to-table restaurants, Pilates studios, jazz bars, and art galleries, yet it has managed to retain a genuine sense of grit.
At the heart of RiNo sits The Ramble Hotel, an iconic property whose red brick façade and arched windows echo the industrial warehouses and Victorian commercial buildings that once lined 18th- and 19th-century RiNo streets.
Inside, the hotel is evocative: dim lighting, leather Chesterfield sofas, book-lined walls, and dark wood panelling create a mood somewhere between a 1920s gentleman’s club and a speakeasy.
Perhaps The Ramble Hotel’s coup de maître is its partnership with Death & Co, one of New York’s most influential and acclaimed cocktail bars. Guests enjoy priority access to reservations, but it’s still recommended to make these in advance, especially for peak weekend hours. The menu showcases craftsmanship and innovation, though some of us still swear by the Negroni—the perfect drink, according to Bourdain.
The rooms are a subtle blend of rustic industrial charm and boutique luxury. Wide-plank hickory flooring contrasts with antique Persian rugs, and, in homage to RiNo, each room features art curated by NINE Dot Arts, a Denver-based venture that has placed over 250 pieces of art on the walls of the hotel. Many of this artwork is done by local artists.
Whether you’re rambling through the arts-filled streets of RiNo on a 36-hour city break or pausing in Denver on your way to the mountains, The Ramble Hotel is the perfect base to experience this thriving city.
