The festival is also home to the iconic Orchid Extravangaza, celebrating Singapore’s national flower and showcasing the rich heritage of orchids. It features more than 400 of the region’s best plants as they compete for over 40 heritage trophies.
There will also be plenty of opportunities for sightseeing with a visit to the Sky Park Observation Deck at the top of Marina Bay Sands, offering picturesque views of the Singapore’s skyline, in addition to a 45-minute bumboat cruise along the city’s historic waterway.
Penang
The tour continues to Penang in Malaysia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where guests will spend four nights at the five-star Rasa Sayang Resort and Spa. The well-thought-out itinerary includes a visit to Penang Hill, the oldest British hill station in Southeast Asia and the striking Kek Lok Si Temple, the largest Buddhist temple in Malaysia. Guests will also visit the Penang Batik factory where they can witness how hand-drawn batik fabric is made and then turned into colourful clothing and accessories.
Kuala Lumpur
Ending in Malaysia’s vibrant and diverse capital, Kuala Lumpur, visitors can immerse themselves in bustling street markets and local culture. Staying at the five-star Ritz Carlton, the tour includes entrance to the Batu Caves, the most important Hindu temple outside of India and an afternoon tea at the glorious Majestic Hotel, surrounded by orchids and plush furnishings.
