Tacos Michoacanis a go to in regards to great food and locations. Two storefronts and trucks. Chorizo Quezadilla wins here. Yes, that’s with a Z.

La Lunaisin Rutherford between PRESS and my home in Napa. It’s a market with assorted pastries, beer and one of the best Tortas I have ever had.

Food Shed Takeawaysupports the community by hiring at-risk youth and provides on the job training through paid internships. They have a mighty fine Cod Tosca with Giardiniera.

Farmsteadhas truly exceptional beer, food and service plus a beautiful outdoor space.

Drink

Bounty Hunter. We have an incredible Napa-only wine list at PRESS. When I need to sneak away from the New World and travel to the Old, I run to Bounty Hunter. bottles, glasses, flights… Remarkable selection.

The Thomasprovides a mean selection of well made classic cocktails, riffs and new creations.

Pancha’sis quite possibly the Best Bar in Napa. Cheap drinks, cash only, pool table and a mix of locals and visitors looking for their home away from home.

Downtown Joe’sis a local brew house and restaurant. Stick with the Double IPA and Wings, you won’t be sorry!

Shop

Oakville Groceryis great for coffee, sandwiches on the go or their great selection of beer and wine to match the fresh bread and artisan cheeses they offer.

Oxbow Market.Wow, Oxbow has everything from oysters, pizza, tacos, spices, cured and fresh meat… They have everything delicious you could ever want.

Community Projectsis a thrift shop so they have a fantastic collection of old tees plus lots of other cool and weird old kitchen gadgets

Relax

Home is where I do most of my relaxing.

West Wood Hills Parkis great for hikes, taking my seven- and five- year olds to burn off all their energy or just for a simple walk in a beautiful setting.

Tres Sabores. The property and winery is amazing. Vines, Sheep, Guinea Hens… I forage here for marigolds, pea blossoms, wild fennel and arugula flowers, usually in the mornings after I drop my wife off at work and we also bring the kids to see the baby lambs in the spring.
