This week has seen a boat-load of culinary events drift upon London’s shores – FOUR brings you a round-up of the very best!

London’s week of culinary events all kicked off with The Lab Event on Saturday 27 April at London’s Tobacco Docks, which saw top chefsAlex Atala,Massimo Botturaand Lars Williams- Noma’s head of research and development – playing host to a number of unique masterclasses and tutorials such as theNoma Flavour Test.

Sunday was a big day for food-lovers in the capital, with the Cook It Raw book launch taking place at the Royal Geographical Society, attracting big-name chefs likeRene Redzepi,Alex Atala, Albert Adria and Daniel Patterson.

IdentitàLondonat London’s iconic department store, Harrods, was braced with the presence of seven of the world’s top Italian chefs, who, when gathered together, brought 13 Michelin stars under one roof. The event saw guests treated to a lunch of a lifetime – cooked byMassimo Bottura, the brothers Enrico and Roberto Cerea,Carlo Cracco, Gennaro Esposito, Luciano Monosilio andDavide Scabin.

Also on Sunday, the first of manyChowzter World’s Seven Tastiest Fast FeastsAwards announced the world’s tastiest food items as selected by top food bloggers from over 30 countriesat East London’s Village Underground, Shoreditch, with Story Deli taking home the award for the Tastiest Fast Feast in the world.

Sydney-basedPeter Gilmoreof Quay restaurant, joinedBrett Grahamat The Ledbury for a collaborative dinner the night before The World’s 50 Best Restaurants Awards, treating guests to a menu featuring Poached Langoustine with Organic Rosehips, Radishes, Pink Turnips, Soured Cream and Wood Sorrel, Flame Grilled Mackerel with Avocado, English Wasabi and Shiso, along with three dessertcourses, one of which is a Thyme, Honey, Olive Oil cream and Wild Strawberries dish with Frozen Hibiscus.

And on Monday, bringing the festivities to a close with a list of too-many-to-mention big chef names to London’s Guildhall, The World’s 50 Best Restaurants Awards 2013 announced the world’s top 50 restaurants, withNoma– previously at No.1 – taking second place and the Roca BrothersEl Celler de can Rocain Spain, moving to the top spot.
