Experience stunning scenery and outstanding cuisine at this upcoming dinner in the heart of the Bahamas. Taking place on 20th October, join Milan-born chef Michele Blasi at Daphne’s for an Italian culinary journey featuring an exciting 4 course menu.

An award-winning restaurant, Daphne’s is a well-known celebrity haunt that boasts the title of being in the Top 10 Most Popular Restaurants in the Best of Barbados Zagat Guide. Part of Barbados’ acclaimed Elegant Hotels Group, Daphne’s celebrity guests have included the likes of Simon Cowell, Rihanna, Claudia Schiffer, Gerard Butler and even Rihanna.

Join the spectacular venue for a one-off evening of Italian enchantment in celebration of the Barbados Food and Rum Festival (Thursday Oct 18th to Sunday Oct 21st 2018). The evening will feature flavours from across Italy, with each dish inspired by a different region or place.

1 Lombardy
Sautéed shrimp & pumpkin soup

2 Lazio
Arugula salad with Percorino cheese, broad beans and balsamic vinegar


3 Emilia Romagna 
Leeks ravioli with marjoram, potatoes and asparagus

4 Trentino 
Roasted Gressingham duck breast with white cabbage stew, carrots and apple

5 Campania 
Garlic-grilled tuna with broccoli mash

Always striving for excellence, chef Michele Blasi has a wealth of experience in Italian cuisine. Before joining Daphne’s, his previous Italian restaurants including Da Laura in Singapore and the five star Four Seasons in Tokyo, as well as creating home grown dishes in his native Italy including working at the two Michelin starred Sadler Restaurant in Milan.

Prior to his Barbados move, Blasi was based at Enoteca Turi in London.  Here, he combined authentic Italian ingredients with Cornwall’s finest fish and Welsh produce.
