For the first time ever Taubenkobel will up sticks and head to the city where chef Alain Weissgerber and his team will head up a new pop-up restaurant.Opening on November 25th the pop-up will make its home in the Doge’s Palace, a Venetian palazzo from the 18th century. The building is not only one of the city’s most historical landmarks, but in recent years has also become a trendy hotspot with unique concept-store’s such as ‘Supersense’ being based within the iconic walls. No doubt the award-winning Relais & Chateaux Taubenkobel restaurant will feel right at home as it launches ‘Zum Tauben Dogen’ which will serve up the highly acclaimed Pannonian cuisine that it has become notorious for.

‘Supersense’ founder Florian Kaps and Barbara Eselböck will accompany Weissgerber, as they serve gourmet cuisine in a brasserie style set-up. As well as seasonal delights in store they will also offer artisan products and show arts, culture and music events to really get into the festive spirit. Speaking about the upcoming event,Chef de cuisine Alain Weissgerber has commented that;

“The pop-up will allow us to showcase a bit of what we do and we are eager to attract all senses of our guests in Vienna with this mixture of food and entertainment.’

The temporary restaurant will have classic breakfast and lunch sittings, but with the addition of multi-course dinners for up to 80 diners, including 25 exclusive seats at a Chef’s table, available in the evenings.With an exciting line up of festive treats as well as a daily changing program of workshops, live music, tastings this really is an event not to be missed if in the Austrian capital this winter.
