With bread as one of her favorite foods, Masterchef judge and revered chef Monica Galetti was covered in flour. Monica said “I love making my own bread, you can not beat the smell and taste of freshly baked bread. Being covered in flour was definitely an experience… the shoot was great fun and the results really are striking.”

Italian chef Francesco Mazzei regularly impresses London diners with his exquisite Italian cuisine, but today all eyes were on him, as he bathed in streams olive oil. Mazzei said, “I love good quality Italian olive oil, the smell and the flavor is fantastic and can really enhance a dish. Today I was that dish. Fantastic fun. I think it may take a while to get out of my hair. These shoots are always a lot of fun, and I can’t wait to get stuck in for real at Taste of London in June”.

Owner/Chef Ana Morris took on a new role by balancing a bespoke headdress made entirely of meringues and made by the super talented Meringue Girls on her head. Ana said, “Today was a little different to a normal day! However I was never going to complain about having my head piled high with delicious, fluffy Meringues – my utter favourite. I may have snuck a few into my mouth, shhh!”

Executive Chef of Duck & Waffle Dan Doherty took his love of mackerel to new heights as his upper body was transformed into that of a mackerel. Dan said “I love being involved in Taste Festivals’ photoshoots as you never know what they will ask you to do. It is true I am a big fan of mackerel, but I never imagined I’d be transformed into one. There’s a first for everything.”

Ben Tish, Chef Director of Salt Yard Group channeled his inner Pooh Bear by admitting his love for honey “We use a lot of honey at the restaurants, it is especially delicious drizzled over the deep dried courgette flowers. I never thought it would be drizzled over me though. The shoot was fantastic fun, if a bit sticky!”

Last but not least, much loved member of the Taste family and Michelin starred chef Pascal Aussignac came to the floor, and celebrated his passion for the squid. “I love squid and all seafood really so it was only right I should cement that love by having it tattooed on my back.
