“The wines that England is producing are starting to get some consistency and have improved in quality over the last 5 years but tend to be expensive compared with equivalent quality from other major wine growing countries. However conversely the sparkling wines represent brilliant value for money, I will quite often take a bottle of Herbert Hall Brut to celebrate with instead of Champagne”
– Ed Gerard, Harrods
Elegant and restrained, with hints of red fruits and floral notes on the nose, the Ridgeview pairs perfectly with Thai cuisine, roast pork or foie gras. Alternatively it makes for a pleasant accompaniment to cheesecake or fruit.
Bolney CuvéeRosé 09
A classy vintage made in the méthode traditionalle with lots of strawberry fruit character and wonderful yeasty undertones. This wine has flavours of light cherry and toasty brioche, simple and well balanced. The smooth and full-bodied palate comes from 18 months lees ageing. Made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes this English sparkling wine is ideal with hors d’oeuvres and starters, wonderful with fish and most red berry fruit puddings.
Herbert Hall English Brut
