Following the success of theCook It Rawbook launch in London last month,David Chang, Massimo Bottura and Daniel Patterson will be joiningCook It Rawfounder Alessandro Porcelli and journalist Lisa Abend in an evening inspired by the release of the bookCook it Rawat New York’s Public Library on 22 May 2013, to discuss the Ins-and-Outs ofthis year’s must-read culinary title.
Taking inspiration from an innovative chef event that began in 2009,Cook It Rawis no ordinary cookbook, but rather a unique compilation, showcasing some of the highlights from theCook It Rawgatherings which have taken place so far. Inviting some of the world’s most influential chefs to take part, chefsRenéRedzepi(Noma); Albert Adrià (Tickets; 41);Iñaki Aizpitarte (Le Chateaubriand);David Chang (Momofuku); Massimo Bottura (Osteria francescana);Ben Shewry(Attica); Alex Atala (D.O.M);Davide Scabin(Combal Zero); Claude Bosi (Hibiscus); Daniel Patterson (Coi); Pascal Barbot (L’Astrance);Magnus Nilsson(Fäviken); Peter Nilsson (La Gazzetta) andYoshihiro Narisawa(Les Créations de Narisawa) have all gathered together in countries which have so far included: Denmark, Italy, Finland and Japan, where they were challenged to prepare unique dishes, inspired by their surroundings.
The talk in New York’s Public Library will bring together chef David Chang, who has recently been awarded with the James Beard ‘Outstanding Chef’ award 2013, Daniel Patterson, the chef/owner of Coi, a two-Michelin star restaurant in San Francisco and Massimo Bottura who was given the ‘Chef’s Choice’ award at the 2011 World’s 50 Best Restaurants awards in London, who all took part in theCook It Rawcollaboration.
The event also invites Allessandro Porcelli, the founder of theCook It Rawevent and Lisa Abend, a journalist whose essays feature in the recently releasedCook It Rawbook.
