The original London Buddha-bar was opened for two years before falling victim to the economic downtown and closing in 2010. Originally located on the Victoria Embankment, the new venue is in Knightsbridge on the former site of the Chicago Rib Shack.
The famous Buddha-bar beats will be played out by Paris’s resident DJ Ravin, with guest DJs Amber Le Bon and Becky Tong, while canapés created from mini versions of the menus will be served with Veuve Clicquot Champagne.
Buddha-bar now has 15 venues worldwide, some of which are franchises, including Prague’s Buddha-Bar Hotel. Specialising in Pan-Asian cuisine, the menu boasts Chinese, Japanese, Thai and Eastern flavours. Signature Buddha-bar dishes include the famous Buddha-bar chicken salad, seared sesame tuna, wok fried beef, spicy tuna tartar and five spiced barbeque chicken. The menu offers an extensive selection of sashimi, nigiri, sushi maki rolls, temaki and tempura dishes.
