Renowned Michelin star chef, Jason Atherton is unveiling his latest culinary venture in the heart of London: City Social.

In the heart of the City of London lies an iconic skyscrapers, Tower 42, which is set to be home to Jason Atherton’s greatly anticipated new culinary venture, City Social. The 90 cover, art-deco style restaurant will look over the London skyline from the 24th floor.

As he has done with resounding success in his other restaurants – Pollen Street Social, Social Eating House, Little Social and Berners Tavern – Atherton will focus on using British ingredients for his creative dishes. In partnership with Restaurant Associates, City Social’s guests will eat at the chef’s table while watching the kitchen team at work at the centre of the dining room.

“I’m really excited to be working with Restaurant Associates and to be opening City Social within Tower 42”, Jason says. “You will walk into my restaurant from the lifts and immediately see the Gherkin, The Cheesegrater, and all those iconic buildings that have shot up in London over the past decade, right in front of your eyes. The restaurant will serve beautiful cuisine in a glamorous environment.”

City Social will be elegant and simply decorated. Working with Russell Sage Studios, Atherton has finalised the décor so that the walls are peppered with mirrors, letting you see the exceptional view from wherever you sit.

The bar – headed up by top mixologist Gareth Evans – will feature cocktails inspired by 1910-1930s prohibition era, whereas the wine list will be guided by illustrious Sommelier Christopher Delalonde.
