The restaurant Brechtmanns Botschaf, owned by head chef Sven Brechtman and his wife Ann-Kathrin who takes care of front-of-house, is setting new culinary standards in the region of Scharbeutz on the Bay of Lübeck by the Baltic Sea.
The menu presents an interesting mix of regional gourmet dishes, combined with Asian creations and ingredients and spices.
Brechtmann, who has formerly worked in several well-known restaurants, took inspiration from his experience at the Peninsula Hotel in Bangkok and Raffles Hotel in Singapore. He soon earned praise for his interesting combinations and the Asian touches, gaining recognition for his outstanding cuisine with awards from both Gault Millau and the Michelin Guide.
