As the youngest chef in South Tirol, Gerhard Wieser took his examination for the Master’s Certificate in 1993. After gaining some foreign experience in Germany, Singapore and Switzerland, Wieser arrived at Trenkerstube in Hotel Castel in South Tirol, where he has been creating great dishes as Head chef since 2001.

With an Alpine-Mediterranean cuisine he delights his guests with breakfast, lunch and a superb à la carte menu every evening. He shares his recipes by publishing them in cookbooks; some of them which have reached bestseller status.
