The Player is a cultural-cum-culinary event where the two worlds of art and food collide. Held on March 8 2013 at Museo Marino Marini, the exhibition – aptly described as 'Oil on Canvas' – will explore the artwork of Florentine painter, Alberto Parigi, through the medium of Olive Oil.

The event will take place as part of the Taste Fair in Florence, an Italian festival dedicated to good eating and good living, admired and attended by top figures in the gastronomic trade and passionate foodies alike.

Playing with the ingredients, colour and flavour of Il Frantoio Santa Tea extra virgin olive oil, chef Marco Stabile, of restaurant L’Ora D’Aria, will create six signature dishes, each inspired by Alberto Parigi's contemporary and painted work and reproduced in miniature for guests to enjoy while visiting the Marino Marini Museum. Here,  ‘A little olive oil’, as described in the events native Italian tongue, ‘combines, in its most classical sense, with the art of cooking’.
