Just the word Julep makes us at FOUR pine for summer. Perhaps its name – reminiscent to that of a particularly lovely spring time flower – is what gets us in the mood for warmer climes and less clothing, or maybe it’s this minted smash cocktail’s citrusy flavours – spiked with pomegranate and honey – which makes us want to break out the scanty tees and stash away our winter scarves for a colder day. Grapefruit julep 

Glass | Highball 

Garnish | Mint and grapefuit twist 

 

Ingredients

50ml Ketel One vodka

25ml Freshly pressed pink grapefruit juice

15ml Freshly pressed lime juice

8 fresh mint leaves

10ml pomegranate syrup

10ml honey thinned with water

 

Method

Stir in the honey with all ingredients, then add the ice. Shake and strain over crushed ice in a highball glass. Garnish with a big sprig of mint and a grapefruit twist.
