We all know the saying ‘money doesn’t grow on trees’, but according to above title which has been plastered over the news in Germany, there's still hope of gold rings growing in potatoes.

The logical reason currently given for this freak occurence is that he probably threw the ring into the compost, along with the kitchen waste, that he used for growing vegetables at home. After three years of searching for the misplaced ring belonging to his wife, the man from Bavaria was delighted to find more than just a good yield of spuds when he checked his crop of potatoes recently – the ring hidden in one of his potatoes which had, cunningly, grown itself around it!
