Celebrate the start of the weekend with this Ron Zacapa cocktail by world class bartender Manuabu Ohtake fromTokyo.
Ron Zacapa rum is produced in the verdant land of Guatemala and aged 2300 meters above sea level. It has a robust flavour with sweet notes of exotic dried fruits such as banana, figs and pineapple, spices and a hint of vanilla, making it perfect for pairing with cream for a truly indulgent tipple with a full-bodied, velvety texture.
- 50 ml Zacapa 23 rum
- 1 fresh banana
- 25 ml heavy cream
- 15 ml simple syrup
- Powdered cinnamon (optional), for rimming the glass.
How to Make
Gently coat the rim of a cocktail glass with a paper towel moistened with Zacapa 23. Cover a saucer with a thin layer of powdered cinnamon and roll the outer rim of the cocktail glass through it. Set the glass in the refrigerator to chill.
Muddle the banana in a cocktail shaker until liquid, then add the cream, Zacapa 23 and simple syrup and mix. Add ice and shake. Strain into the chilled glass. Look up and enjoy the clouds.
