Quail – 30 seconds

Pheasant – 1½-2 minutes

Small/medium hen – 2½-3 minutes

Duck/large hen – 3½-4 minutes

Turkey – 4-5 minutes

Goose – 9-10 minutes

Rhea – 30-35 minutes

Ostrich – 50 minutes

Hard-boiled timings

Quail – 1 minute

Pheasant – 4-5 minutes

Small/medium hen – 6-7 minutes

Duck/large hens – 9-10 minutes

Turkey – 10-11 minutes

Goose  – 13 minutes

Rhea – 1hour -1hour 15minutes

Ostrich – 1½-2 hour
