Moët & Chandon have announced its new collaboration with three-time Michelin-starred French Chef Yannick Alléno – a passionate culinary perfectionist, a gastronomic original without extravagance. The world’s most-loved champagne meets one of the world’s great chefs.

Alléno has an exclusive series of exquisite recipes to be unveiled online and shared with the world. Ranging from professional to beginner level, Yannick Alléno’s recipes distinguish and highlight Moët & Chandon’s champagnes. The recipes are a new expression of the House’s art de la table, where instead of choosing wines to match a menu, the House chooses a very special champagne and the menu is then created around it. Yannick Alléno crafted his delicious recipes to highlight the distinct flavors and subtleties of the vibrant, generous and alluring Moët Impérial, the spontaneous, radiant and enticing Moët Rosé Impérial, and the exotic, rich and lively Moët Nectar Impérial.

Le & - A Unique Culinary Concept

To kick off the collaboration with Yannick Alléno, the House unveils LE & by Moët & Chandon. A gastronomic and Grand Vintage concept, LE & will open its doors at L’Orangerie in Epernay, on Moët & Chandon’s estate in France’s Champagne region, from 9 June to 9 July, 2014.

Guests will experience the meeting of vintage champagne & visionary gastronomy; the culinary talent of Chef Alléno and the craftsmanship of Moët & Chandon Chef de Cave Benoît Gouez.

LE & showcases an ultra-original, unexpected wine and food experience that could only be conceived together by Moët & Chandon and Yannick Alléno,” said Arnaud de Saignes, International Director of Marketing and Communication at Moët & Chandon. “LE & is the place where wine and food will provoke surprises and stimulate all senses, with our shared touch of style and fun!”

LE & will offer a whole lot of experiential moments including:

  • 7 Salt Bar | The first experience is based on the salinity of champagne. The work of Benoît Gouez and Yannick Alléno consisted first of looking at salt flavors, and then crossing this with Moët Impérial’s saline aspects. With seven different appetizers combining texture, taste and aesthetics, the 7 Salt Bar experience highlights the extent of the collaboration between these two masters.
  • Cook’ooning Cellar | The LE & takes a slight pause to highlight the soon-to-be released Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage 2006, associated with Grand Vintage Collection 1985. All guests share one and the same meal around an open Molteni kitchen created especially for the occasion.
  • Blind Shot Room | The LE & experience continues with Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage 1999 and by highlighting the work of extractions and sauces. Thus the Grand Vintage 1999 varies around an extraction of parsnip that is increasingly reduced, the taste intensifying with each mouthful.
  • Sugar Club | To complete the LE &, the lounge-inspired Sugar Club adds a sweet note to close the evening, in Moët & Chandon’s signature night atmosphere. Here, the Grand Vintage 1999 experience continues, complemented by Moët Impérial golden magnum bottles.
