Michael Kempf is at the helm of two Michelin-starred Berlin-based restaurant Facil. Making use of his passion for nature and seasonal produce, chef Kempf changes his menu accordingly. The restaurant, which lies in the Mandala Hotel specialises in a careful fusion of German classics and Asian inspiration, and encompasses Kempf’s precision and focus for vegetables and exotic herbs.

Having worked in various fine-dining kitchens in Germany, Michael moved to Facil in 2003, only to bring it into Michelin stardom-ship in the very same year he stepped in as chef de cuisine. At the time, he was Berlin’s youngest Michelin-starred chef. Ten years later, in 2013 he was awarded his second.

Regardless of his stars and accolades, Kempf holds his passion for high quality, fresh products very dear.
